Name of EFA Student: Gebreshet Kassahun
Age: 19 (as of 2015)
History: Gebreshet is currently in the 7th grade, and he is also a very good student, ranked #2 in his class with a 95.3% average grade.
Gebreshet told us, “If I get a helper, I want to improve my school results more and more. Now my sister is a day laborer, and that isn’t a very good situation, but I am hoping for a helper.”
Disability: Polio has limited the growth of his legs, and he uses a wheelchair for mobility. Both of his parents are still alive, but they live in the countryside and were unable to help him. *It’s common for members of a family to leave if the family is unable to help them. People will come to Bahir Dar (or other town) seeking help. Also, with his physical condition, his mobility would be very limited in the hilly and rocky countryside. His sister is his caregiver, and she is a day laborer, not guaranteed to have work from day to day.
*Gebreshet already has his home kit and doesn’t require the initial $100 USD requested for sponsored students.
Gebreshet has a sponsored by a Great Person in Florida!
Thanks so much!!!
