Gebreshet is one of FNM’s “Education For All” Sponsored Student, and Polio has effected his legs (they didn’t develop fully) This wheelchair has become his legs.
We noticed that his front tire looked 1/2 flat when he would turn.
He told us that he has been using the same tire for the last 6 years. When it fell apart, it was just sleeved and stitched together with another bad tire.
FNM had his size, and Abraham & I changed it for him.
…and Melaku lubricated his chain.
With the rainy season coming, this tire will be a great help through all of the muddy areas.
We got a thumbs up from Abraham, and Gebreshet was on his way
You know, Gebreshet didn’t ask for us to change his tire. He, and many people with disabilities in Ethiopia, learn to get by with what they have. I think it’s up to everyone who has been blessed with a little extra to look out for those who have learned to do without.
We simply changed a tire, but it is a huge blessing for Gebreshet! I’m so grateful FNM could do this for him. This tire came from your support! Thanks so much for helping us bless others!
