Today as I was leaving the office for town, I seen Yosef being dropped off by his mom & dad in a bajaj. His dad is a bajaj driver. I asked our manager about Yosef’s family. Abraham said they are so happy about bringing him to the center. They said it’s the first place they have been able to take him to introduce him into the community.
As he came in, he was greeted by our staff with GIANT HUGS. I was watching his mom in the bajaj, and she was just full of smiles, watching him being loved by our staff. This is why we’re here, opening up the World to Yosef. (above, he is sharing a soccer ball with Meseret, who has CP and isn’t able to run and play with the other kids).
Yosef’s mom told our staff that she and her husband have seen a BIG change in Yosef’s behavior…before not having many expressions to now, where he is so happy and really becoming who he is supposed to be, a lively young child, enjoying life.
Thanks for caring about these guys with us!
