Hey Everyone, After our 30 days of “NO-PICS of Beneficiaries Fund Raising”, we’ll show you the kids enjoying FNM’s new bikes. Cheryl took our staff to town and purchased 2 new bikes, and we donated Nebiyu’s 1st bike to FNM. Look at the training wheels on his bike. They are off a 2 wheeled scooter. They are a lot stronger than the original plastic wheels.
“The Sumy”, “Sport”, & “Rambo”
Cheryl was there when the kids first seen the bikes…they were so excited. When our staff had to put them away, a few of our kids ran up to the window, and pressed their little faces in the window, to keep looking at the bikes. They are the highlight of the center now. We’re working on getting training wheels for the 20 inch bike.
The littlest bike is Nebiyu’s old bike…he is now using the original 16inch Barbie bike we brought to Ethiopia for Ava & Rediet in 2010. He is no longer using training wheels!
…and my bike, with a broken rear hub, we have a great friend brining parts from the OC in California in a week, and I ordered the wrong size from the bike shop near her house…..ahhhhhhhh I feel horrible. She is busy getting ready to come, and I messed up. If the hub doesn’t make it, I know it’s my mistake. Even though I ride everyday, I’m an amateur in ordering parts.
Take Care! Tim
